Thumbiano is made out of umbrella ribs and wood from wine boxes, it is a simplified version of an ancient African instrument Kalimba. Containing 8 notes, it is easily played with both your thumbs.
In this 60 minutes’ journey, you will begin by choosing a piece of wood with unique pattern and colors of the umbrella ribs. Then we will assemble and tune the Thumbiano together step by step.

• Simple wood working and concentration skills are required.

Feltlike Slippers are made of leftover felt carpet collected from the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, where exhibitions and trade shows take place everyday, tons of clean and unused materials are often being sent to our landfills.

The synthetic felt carpet is rugged and soft enough to keep your feet comfy. Slippers come in a DIY pack and put together using shoe laces, all the parts can be color matched.

From a piece of leftover wallpaper to be transformed into a wallet in 5 minutes. The workshop is designed to let participant experience the process of upcycling and create their own unique product in 3 simple steps.

2. Rolling the material through the pressing machine to cut out.

3. Assemble and done!

Working with a jewellery company this year to experiment how to create a Christmas tree and gift boxes with zero carbon footprint principle.

Literally, we made it without leaving the doorstep. By collecting aluminium cans from everyone in the office, turning the meeting room into a mirco-factory, together we have made a few hundred of christmas ornaments in just a lunch break!
